Thank you for registering your school for the National Mathematics Quiz Championship for 2024 – 2025 and we are delighted to confirm the details of your entry as follows:

Please select the quiz you would like to play.  You will be asked for a password for the Maths Team Selection and Practice Quizzes which is MATSTP2425

 

We would recommend you copy and paste the password when you need to use it as it is both case and space each.  There are 20 questions in the quiz, each with 4 possible answers.  At the end of the quiz, the children are instructed (on screen) to swap their answer cards and the quiz then goes back through each question displaying the correct play.  These quizzes are narrated by our quizmaster and can be played on any computer.  They contain 10 questions each, along with hints and tips on tactical voting, the process of elimination and working together as a team as well as some information on what the team can expect at the Area

§   To watch the quiz broadcast you will need to use a computer that is not being used as a handset. This computer should also have its speakers on, so your team/s can hear the Quizmaster presenting the phone.  These devices do NOT need the Zoom app on http://www.buzzerpad.com/” target=”_blank”>devices.  You cannot set up the devices beforehand as the passcode to set them up is not given out until the quiz starts, but we would recommend, if you have not taken part in Quiz Club before, that you ask your IT manager to make sure that the http://www.buzzerpad.com/” target=”_blank”>

AT THE END OF THE HEAT

§   At the end of the heat, a number of the top scoring teams will be invited to take part in the Semi Finals of the Championship which will also be online.  The number of teams moving on from the online heat will be confirmed by the Quizmaster at the start of the quiz and is based on the number of teams taking https://www.quizclub.org/certificates” target=”_blank”>https://www.quizclub.org/ />certificates.

 

The cost of your school’s entrance into the Championship                                     

The cost of entry is £50 per team and covers your school team/s throughout the competition.  An invoice will be sent by email to your school Championship.  We will email you approximately 1 week before the Area Heat as a reminder of the date and May 1, 2025 10:00 am - 11:00 am(GMT+01:00)
